I was about to have a thought; a pleasant one, I think: lying down in green pastures like some tired cow after grass-munching, smelling fresh air, feeling rain… … But I lost that thought, whatever it was.
More and more of my thoughts have gone missing, these days. I like to think they’re being harvested by the Ultimate Authority, apportioned to others who pay for the chance to have a pleasant thought or two about being a tired cow, grass munching … instead of what they are, factory hands perhaps, or poor pregnant women, or prison inmates whose burning desire is to be promoted to the grounds-crew, once again smell fresh air, feel rain…
