There are people who cast shadows. I call them The Shadowers. I used to think that every one, every thing, casts shadows when the sun is up, or when a street light shines.
But then one day I saw that I did not cast a shadow, even in sunlight, even staring up at our local star, daring it to shadow me.
And now that’s happened to all of us, here in this new world of darkness, a world we’d thought had always been ours. A world that had always been rational, thought-full,
Enlightened.
