“Fences” / Memorable Fancies #4179

       I remember what fences meant to me early-school age: white picket, neighborly; chicken wire = plain people; hedges: depending on height, either let’s talk or shut up; in any case, care and money.

      Two lots without a fence between where different grass varieties meet: a grass struggle worthy of Marx (“fescue” – “No, fesc you !”)
