       Or, when a prophet makes a prophecy, whatever happens is taken to be its fulfillment.

       Or, the god is compelled to obey the orders of its human prophets, no matter how onerous and time-consuming this work may be. The god mutters, “Smite! Smite!,” but keeps to the same old routine.
