       I followed the moral teachings of my group.

       And then what?

       And then I broadened my view to encompass the nation, what it believed and how it behaved.

       And then what?

       And then I looked into religions and philosophies and adopted a cluster of beliefs that seemed compatible with each other, and appropriate to my place in society.

       And then what?

       And then I got rid of all that crap and just lived.
