The names, the nouns, have left us; all of them. We make noises in our throats, now, but no one understands.
At first, pronouns were still – barely – possible, but when we began to use pronouns as a way to get around our current problem, – Something – removed these from our minds, too.
Adjectives, having nothing to modify, died quickly.
We point at ourselves, now, or at others, or at things. We have invented complex gestures. So far, this is permitted, even if we cannot tell others what our gestures mean.
Verbs are still available to us. Some have claimed that our civilization can still carry on, that verbs will do.
Because they have to.
