“I Remember the Future” / Memorable Fancies #3409

[“It is wrong, conceptually wrong, to suppose that memory is always of the past.” – Maxwell Bennett and Peter Hacker]

       I remember the future.

       My friends say,

“Doesn’t that mean you can change things? See your future but do something else instead?”

To which, neuroscientists tell us, yes, you can change things; but when you’ve done that, you don’t remember what you’ve changed, so it’s once again a surprise.

We’ve all cycled through this process many times.
