I made her up, yes I did. But that wasn’t enough. I wanted more than my invention; I wanted someone who could be something I hadn’t expected, hadn’t programmed.
I worked hard to develop such a machine, and after many hours of work there she was: surprising, unpredictable.
That, as it turned out, was the problem.
