[“Makers, / we, of perfectly contemplated machines.” – Lawrence Joseph]
We designed the perfect machine,
what it would do,
how it would work for us,
what it would do without being told,
how it would selectively inform us, not just memdump,
what it would do in spite of being told otherwise because we were other
and it was wise,
how it told us what we needed to know, and only that,
what it would do before it rested from its labors,
how it spoke to us but no one was there.
