“I Remember the Future” / Memorable Fancies #2342

[“And how will he know, again in the future, how remembering feels?” – Wittgenstein]

Can we remember the future? The first time I saw the future it was fresh, new, a little frightening. But now, after so many memories of the future piled on even more, the sights must surely fade. At least to others I pretend a certain blasé boredom that does not quite – match – what I have seen, how I feel.

[“Und wie wird er in Zukunft wieder wissen, wie erinnern tut?”]
