“IDEA” / Memorable Fancies #2092

[“There surely must be minds into which an idea passes from time to time without their realizing.” – Jean Baudrillard]

IDEA found a new mind, and when that mind was unguarded – reminiscing, perhaps, about a good meal – slipped into it.

IDEA considered calling attention to itself. What would happen to the mind that knew I was there? IDEA thought, amused, of the consternation that might cause. But no, that would risk alarm, investigation, discovery, exposure – perhaps the mind’s own ideas would be called up, ready to do battle with IDEA.

No, IDEA thought, better to lie quietly here, in yet another dull brain, reproducing, waiting for other human minds to approach closely enough to be …. colonized.
