“Image of a Murderer” / Memorable Fancies #1928

[“After the murder, he goes back to living in his flat. Changes nothing in it. Simply puts in a new mirror.” – Albert Camus]

That face in the old mirror, he says, was the image of a murderer. I am past that, now, he says. I have reformed and I’m someone else now. Someone who should perhaps be murdered.

The face in the mirror nods in agreement.
