“Star-flicker” / Memorable Fancies #1621

One of the stars in our night sky isn’t really a star, or so says the Health and Science section of the Post today. Real stars gleam with a steady light even if to us they seem to flicker, and a few glow periodically brighter and dimmer.

But this one – its flickers seem to be a kind of code. Our scientists are trying to understand what it says.

One of the scientists is now emerging from his lab. His face is pale, and he hurries away.
