“The Deadly Cups” / Memorable Fancies #1207

[“Beside the dispenser there were three types of cup.” – MyOtherVoices blog]

The office staff watch casually but carefully as the prospective employee selects a cup. They report the candidate’s choice to HR, who label each candidate “A”, “B”, or “C”, corresponding to the personality-type associated with each type of cup.

“Cup-A” types are turned down for employment for vague or unstated reasons, or told “we’ll be in touch.”

“Cup-B” types are greeted with wild enthusiasm and taken to lunch.

“Cup-C” types are reported to the police.

“Well, that’s too bad,” the HR person told me, “and of course you didn’t know. Now just go along with the nice officer, please.”
