     It’s now possible for ringtones to be controlled by the caller, not by the person called. The language of ringtones is developing quickly, different bursts of sound meaning “I love you,” or “If he’s home now don’t pick up,” or “I feel sick today; I won’t be in,” or hundreds of other canned sentiments.

     You can design and record your own ringtones. If they’re licensed by a major app provider, you earn royalties.

     Strangely, more and more people are abandoning their phones now; sometimes they even speak face to face.
