“Bonding” / Memorable Fancies #1013

   Two friends speak with each other. But they aren’t talking about the same thing. ‘A,’ for instance, is rehashing Sunday’s football games, while ‘B’ is relating an unpleasant encounter with his son’s teacher.

     Each will go away remembering a pleasant talk, a bonding, but with a feeling that perhaps something has been missed. But this is also how they feel when they’ve been talking about the same thing.
