“The Carrots” / Memorable Fancies #1004

[“We see all this from a very long way off, as if on a screen.” – Jean Baudrillard]

It’s night. I’m walking down a suburban street not far from my home. I happen to glance through a window. Two people are sitting on a couch, watching TV. Looking again, I see that the TV picture is showing – me! I’m just doing some ordinary thing like chopping up carrots for a stew. The couch-people seem to be enjoying this. They might be waiting to watch what I did next that night, right after I chopped up those carrots.
