“Tuesday” / Memorable Fancies #846

[“Perhaps there was no yesterday,” – Jorge Luis Borges]

We skipped Tuesday. I’m sure of it. I ask my friends if they remember what they did Tuesday and they say “sure,” but when pressed they don’t say anything specific, just “well on Tuesdays I usually go to the gym,” or something vague like that. I ask them to look around their homes and see if there’s something dated Tuesday – a credit card slip, for instance. Or perhaps they sent an email or tweeted that day. At this point my friends just shake their heads and edge away from me, which just proves my point that there was no Tuesday and they refuse to admit it.
