“Ted and the TV Monitors – II” / Memorable Fancies #556

From where Ted is sitting near Gate 32 he can see six – no, seven – different TV monitors. There’s about a half-second lag between the earliest shot of the jovial TV weatherman and the last. But then one of the screens begins telling a different story, something about a plane crash. The monitor quickly goes dark, as if airline people have been watching, fingers poised to interrupt any story that might cause passengers to cancel, pilots to call in sick. Then a soothing voice: “We regret to announce that Flight 734 has been cancelled.”
